Shooting Star



You are my shooting star, way up in the sky.

Oh how I envy the speed at which you fly.

Why oh why do you still cry?

All I really want to know is why.



You are my shooting star, shining so bright.

Oh how brilliant shines your light.

Why oh why do you fly into the night?

All I wish to be is your shining knight.



You are my shooting star, Emitting a heavenly glow.

Oh how smoothly you go with the flow.

Why oh why do you fly so low?

All I truly want is to Know.



You are my shooting star, slowly fading into daylight.

Oh how quickly you turn to twilight.

Why oh why do you follow the limelight?

All I ever wanted was to be your true light.
